Academic Issues
The SANITI President provides advice, advocacy and support to students who have academic issues. When a student comes into the SANITI Office they are provided with a safe, supportive and confidential environment in which to air and discuss their issues. The President will allow students to take the lead on issues and decide how they wish to proceed.
SANITI provides advice and advocacy to students with academic issues. We provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment - we put you in control.
Whatever the reason you have come to the SANITI office you will be given fair and helpful advice. The SANITI team deals with all sorts of issues relating to your academic life.

- Reconsideration of grades
- Aegrotats
- Problems with teaching staff
- Assessment issues
- Supervision
- Plagiarism
- Help for International students
- Study support
- Recounts
- Alleged academic misconduct
- Cancellation of enrolment and withdrawal from a programme
- Academic counseling and exclusion
- Academic appeals (3k5)
The SANITI President is familiar with NMIT policies & statutes such as NMIT's Student Rules Policy or Academic Appeal Policy (3k5). We have advocacy and support experience and are available to support students through the processes.
