Student Advocacy and Welfare

The ups and downs of Student life make it a lot like snakes and ladders. Problems can arise, both in your studies, and your life outside campus. The SANITI President provides advice, advocacy and support to students who have all manners of issues. SANITI exists to make your student experience as trouble-free as possible.

When a student comes into the SANITI Office they are provided with a safe, supportive and confidential environment in which to air and discuss their issues. Our team listens to you and then helps you decide the best way to proceed.

SANITI provides free confidential services and support in the following areas:

• Academic Issues
• Welfare
• Flatting
• Harassment
• StudyLink
• Budget advice
• Childcare

For Marlborough students a SANITI staff member is available on campus once every two weeks during term time.

We are here to contribute towards helping students survive whilst studying.

Free Phone

There is a phone available at the SANITI office and in the cafe on the Marlborough campus for making local calls free of charge.

Jobs and Accommodation Boards

The SANITI office on the Nelson campus has a Jobs and Accommodation Board as well as a lost property service.
