Advocacy and Support

If as a student you experience any type of problem SANITI is here to help. It can be any issue; either academic related, financial (WINZ, StudyLink) or of a more personal nature. Visit the Support Section to learn more.

Student Representation Network

SANITI coordinates a whole communication and representation network that runs all the way to the NMIT Council, giving students a platform to voice their concerns. Visit the Representation Section to learn more.

Regular Events

From your first day on campus, right through to the Graduation after-party, SANITI wants you to enjoy your time at NMIT. We run events on Marlborough Campus and other campuses through-out the year. Learn more about our Events.

Campus Visits (Marlborough and Flight Schools)

NMIT has over a dozen campuses through-out New Zealand. SANITI visits every campus during the year, including the Marlborough campuses regularly during term time. If you wish to arrange a meeting, please contact either the Student President or the SANITI Distant Campus Manager.

Student Job Search (SJS)

SANITI is a member of Student Job Search, a nationally run organization committed to providing jobs to students. SANITI works closely with SJS to help them find jobs for NMIT students who use the  service free of charge. Visit their website.

Student Diary

The SANITI Student Diary contains useful information relating to SANITI and NMIT. It also has a comprehensive list of all the Student Discounts available to SANITI members. Contact SANITI if you have not received your diary.

Student Magazine

The Voice of SANITI, or VOS, is published three times a year and contains stories directly relevant to NMIT students. Learn more or read the latest copy of VOS on the Student Culture Page.

SANITI Facebook Page

The SANITI Facebook page is a great place to keep in touch with SANITI and other NMIT students. We have regular posts keeping you up to date with what is going on at SANITI, NMIT and the wider student world. We also run regular competitions and post photos of all our events. New Zealand Student Pilot Conference

SANITI runs the New Zealand Student Pilot Conference where NMIT student pilots can network with their peers and top industry representatives. View information about previous conferences in our Resources Section.

SANITI administrates the Student Pilot Facebook Page enabling aviation students a place online to network. View the Student Pilot Facebook Page.

Student Discounts

Your Student Card entitles you to numerous discounts from businesses in Nelson, Blenheim and the rest of New Zealand. A complete list is available in the Student Diary or on our website.

Free Phone and Fax Services

SANITI has a phone students can make local calls from in the SANITI office. We also have a fax machine available to be used at low cost.

Accommodation Listings

We source up to date accommodation listings through the SANITI office. If you want to make an enquiry, contact the Nelson Campus Coordinator.

Nelson Campus Lost Property

All lost property found on Nelson Campus comes to SANITI. If you have lost something, come in or phone. Lost items are displayed at least twice a year.

Referral Services

We have information and contact details of various community organizations and Government departments that can assist students with their issues. We also provide a vehicle for them to reach students through our networks. If you need help from an external party, it could be anything from recommending a good mechanic through to assistance with legal matters, SANITI is a good place to start.
