Jaycob Brown
Nelson Campus Coordinator
Jaycob’s mission is to support Student’s in their study and in every way he can. If Jaycob doesn’t know how to help, then he will know who can!
Jaycob is currently enjoying studying social work at NMIT, the skills which he is developing through his course are proving of great use in carrying out his role. Jaycob’s role includes organising and running the various fun and social SANITI events, as well as the nitty gritty administration work.
He enjoys being involved in campus life and works hard doing whatever it takes to provide optimal support for an enjoyable successful Student life!
Alison Hart
SANITI Association Manager
Alison oversees the everyday running of the Association. Her role includes managing the SANITI staff and finances as well as ensuring that SANITI are meeting their legal obligations. Alison strives to ensure that the Association continues to remain secure and effective for past, present and future Students.
Rachel Boyack
Student President
Rachel is the Student President, representing and working for and on behalf of Students. Rachel has a Bachelor of Music from Auckland University and is currently completing her Bachelor of Commerce at NMIT. Rachel sits on NMIT Council, NMIT Academic Board and the Tertiary Education Commission’s Learners’ Advisory Committee, ensuring the student voice is heard at all levels of NMIT and Government. Rachel’s vast experience in student support, advocacy and politics sees her successfully representing and lobbying for Students in all areas of life.
When Students have issues relating to their study, then Rachel is the go to girl!
Pip Bowler
Advocate and Policy Developer
Pip is a qualified social worker with over ten years experience. Pip prides herself in providing advocacy for all students. Pip’s advocacy support includes academic, employment, financial, domestic and support for any other issues. Pip focuses on working with Students to ensure that a resolution is found and ensures that Students can focus on their studies.
Lucy Funaki
Marketing and Communications
Lucy is the marketing guru of SANITI. Lucy completed a Bachelor of Business (Marketing and Management) at AUT University and has vast consumer and strategic marketing experience. Lucy’s mission is to ensure that SANITI delivers an effective marketing plan and strategy. Lucy’s role also includes, publishing the VOS Student Magazine, website development and facebook. She also ensures that all stakeholders are communicated to effectively and hear the voice of SANITI.
